I came across a wonderful website and a question: Why don’t browsers natively support markdown?

Why don’t browsers natively support markdown? There are many extensions, but I can’t assume that you use some of those.

Of course, I can use any markdown to HTML converter. But I don’t want another layer.

I use .txt for a plain text like this file, but it can’t contain images. I want “.txt + images”. That’s markdown. Browsers don’t support it. Ah, web sucks.
